Yes, we think you'd be pretty crazy not to buy this shock. Why?
Because if you're going to invest in a rear shock, it needs to deliver exceptional performance—and above all, durability. You don’t want leaking seals, oil spills, or any other reliability issues.
We’re proud to say we’ve tackled all of those problems head-on.
We compiled a list of every single failure event we've encountered in six years of producing the Hover—whether it happened once in a thousand units or thirty-two times. We identified 12 potential issues. And we’ve engineered a solution for each and every one of them.
Now, that doesn’t mean our shock will never have an issue. But it definitely won’t have one of those 12 known problems. We’re not perfect—but we’re doing everything we can to get as close as possible.
From day one, we’ve claimed the Hover performs on par with coil shocks—and we still stand behind that claim. Now, with the new Hover Monocoque, we’ve gone even further. The new one-piece design costs more to produce, but thanks to large-volume manufacturing, we’ve kept the price increase to just €20. That means you get a significantly better product for a minimal additional cost.
So what did we improve?
Surfaces are more smooth, the surface treatment is not a simple anodizing, its a special frictionless Polymere-oxid surface made in Germany. We adressed the damping circuit to be more constant with less interferences, what we call "Umkehrschnackeln". Its a german word without possibility of translation. Just imagine, you press the shock, depress, compress, depress and there always will be a "clack" - "clack" - "clack", every single hit, seals bounce back and forth, checkvalves bounce back and forth, pistons and parts bounce back and forth. 95% of these potential moving elements were eliminated, helps you to have a more smooth and buttery ride. You take a seat and just think that this shock feels awesome.
Our custom shim-stack tuning, tailored to rider weight, frame, and riding style, has been optimized over the last three years. There’s nothing to improve—so we’re keeping it exactly the same.

Stroke reduction:
All standard strokes can be reduced by 2.5/5/7.5 mm. For instance, if you want a 205×60 shock, choose a 205×65 shock with a -5 mm stroke reduction.
Bushing Options:
If you choose to buy our bushings, your shock will be delivered fully assembled with included bushings, ready for immediate use. We precisely match the bushing to the axle, and document the exact axle diameter on your order sheet. That way we know exactly which size to send you, if you should ever require a new one.
Additional Information:
If you are unsure about compatibility with your frame, bushing size, bushing bolt diameter, stroke reduction, or tune, don’t hesitate to consult with us. While most frames fit easily, we are happy to provide confirmation! Check our compatibility chart for your frame of choice. If your frame is not listed, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t fit. In that case simply contact us and we will figure it out.
IBS:
Your shock comes equipped with the respective adapter. If you are looking to convert your shock from Metric to Trunnion or vice versa, you can find the parts here. Older Hover models are not compatible with the IBS.
