Samurai XC 32″
32" XC FORK
The hype is real!
Is 32″ the next big thing? Who knows, the buzz is certainly there and so are we. Since we adapted the Samurai platform to fit a 32″ wheels it has been shown off on several shows and prototype bikes throughout the past two years and we’re happy to announce that it’s now also available for purchase.
For this fork we have 2 options of damping cartridges. The first is our new Intend Energizer lockout cartridge. It contends the same pistons and performance of our enduro forks, because we think the cross country bikes also benefits from downhill performance. The unique architecture combines the fact, that the lubrication oil can not flow down the lower tube by having the sealhad on the right place and nevertheless the compression piston on the top, which is necessary for a lockout on the crown. The Energizer damping cartridge is as lighweight as the RS charger RD and has 3 position lockout. There is a Open-mode, a Gravel-mode and the Road-mode with 99%, which lets the fork go in the sag slowly for a proper uphill position. The Energizer cartridge has a maximum stroke of 130mm while having the best damping performance.
The second possibility – if you have a already suiting pair of RockShox shock and fork or are big fan of the cartridge – we are utilizing the infamous Rock Shox Charger Raceday cartridge (120mm max. travel!!). How does the procedure for the Samurai XC with Charger RD look like?
For EU customers:
1. You acquire the RS cartridge at the dealer of your choice.
2. You send this cartridge to us, we assemble the fork into a finished product and ship it to you!
For non-EU customers:
1. You acquire the RS cartridge at the dealer of your choice, let the cartridge ship to YOUR place
2. You order a fork from us without cartridge and make the installation of the cartridge yourself. Tools you need are: 24mm socket and 4mm allen wrench.
Why? – If you order a cartridge in Germany, and we ship it out of EU, we would be responsible for possible warranty cases for the cartridge, because we are the one sending it out of EU. And we cannot fullfill responsibility for others components.
Here are the details for the RS cartridge:
Raceday 2:
The Raceday 2 cartridge is the updated version and should work just as well as the old one but more reliable and 12g heavier.

Your expectations for a high-end suspension fork are simple:
Creak-free upper unit.
Precise chassis with smooth, flush-fitting bushings.
Perfect alignment — no jammed tubes.
Proper lubrication.
To prevent creaking in the chassis, we use high-strength Loctite to create a solid bond between the crown and tubes. This not only eliminates creaking, it also makes the chassis stiffer, because all movements between the parts are blocked. Can we promise that creaking never happens? No — but statistically, 99.98% of our forks are creak-free. That’s a result we’re proud of.

All of our bushings are pressed in by experienced hands — by mountain bikers themselves. Every employee knows: Build each fork as if it’s your own. Yes, manufacturing has tolerances — that’s nature — but by calibrating the bushings to each tube, we can eliminate mismatch and ensure each fork runs smoothly. You won’t find jamming or sticky movement in our forks.

Fork alignment has become a hot topic in recent years, with more suspension shops publicly inspecting major brands and exposing quality deviations – the nature of mass production. At Intend, we take a different approach. We treat every fork as an individual — and make sure it’s perfectly aligned. Parallel tubes. A fork bushing system should simply work like it’s intended: Flawlessly.

In the final step, we fill each fork with a special mix of Motorex Supergliss 32k and 68k oils. Not 12ml. Not 18ml. Exactly 15ml — every time. Proper lubrication ensures smooth performance from the first ride. No guesswork. No shortcuts.

Every single fork is built as if it were going to be our own.
